Theres too much drum beats the original had the tune at the start and the pitch off the tune needs to be higher all i can hear is drum beats

Add a higher tone
but i give you a 9 for efforts
you should use the part at 1:52 as your start but use a filter to build into it

But only itryed was change the melody make it more remix then use pure orginal stuff. but this song is very old to. There are many ways to start a build up to a song, alot of rock bands will start with just a simple drum beat, then add instruments when you can.
Others dont even have a buildup, some songs just start off hard and loud.

as for the EQ a general rule that i use to make something sound right is set all your frequencies as low as they go and then start with treble, turning it up untill it sounds good, then the middle frequency, and then bass.

Synths (if you cant make them) can be bought from many people, i prefer Sony just because they are a trusted brand name that i have used for ever.
but it is always nice to pick up a synth keyboard for custom sounds and tunes.
